Kitty Rescue Corp’s TNVR Program

TNVR (Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate Return) programs have been shown to be effective in stabilizing or reducing free-roaming cat populations in the community. By neutering cats, the program helps to control breeding and prevent the birth of additional cats. Additionally, TNVR reduces the number of problem behaviors associated with unaltered cats, such as: spraying, fighting, and yowling, which can lead to complaints from the public.

TNVR also has benefits for the cats themselves. Neutered cats usually have longer and healthier lives than unaltered cats, as they are less likely to engage in risky behaviors such as fighting and roaming. Additionally, TNVR programs include vaccination and medical treatment for cats, which can improve their overall health and reduce the spread of diseases.

Requirements for TNVR applications:

  • Must be located in Pasco County
  • Must appear to be healthy and be at least 3 pounds in weight
  • Must be a unaltered feral cat living in the wild
  • Cats will be returned to the same exact area they were trapped

Usually, feral cats that have been through TNVR have their ears tipped. Prior to filling out this form, please try to look for tipped ears in the colony to determine if TNVR has already been done. If you believe there is a feral cat colony that needs TNVR, you can fill out the form below and we will contact you to determine the location and evaluate the ability and need to conduct TNVR on the cat colony.
