Kitty Rescue Corp
We are a 501(c)(3) non profit animal rescue organization operating in the Pasco County, Florida area. Our goal is to rescue and adopt animals out to loving homes and to provide food, shelter and vet care to animals in need until they are adopted.
We are continuing to raise funds for Brookie's echo to confirm a heart disease diagnosis. The doctor needs to confirm which type of heart disease she has so they can determine which medication she needs to help. She has been doing well in her new environment, has gained weight, and looks much healthier. She is currently a long-term resident and considered unadoptable. If we can complete the test to confirm the diagnosis and start treatment, she could then be listed as a medical case available for adoption into a loving and caring home.We have closed all other fundraising campaigns. Someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed…not a great start 🥴🫣🤣 Happy Monday Friends!!! 🧡🖤🤍
We want to thank CUDDLY for donating $470 in food, medications, and supplies! It has come during a time when we really needed it. We want to thank them for the partnership and everything they have done and do for us. Thank you CUDDLY!!!Our first year of operations has been a journey. We have brought 68 cats into our rescue so far this year and we have completed 55 adoptions. Our rescue has had almost $20k in expenses with $10k brought in through surrender/adoption fees and donations (40% from donations). We have reached a point in our journey where we need to focus on fundraising to support the general expenses of the cats currently in our care. We currently have 36 cats in our care, including 14 long-term unadoptable residents. We are working on a few projects for the rest of the year that will we hope will prepare us to continue full operations in 2025.Until then, we will continue fundraising and taking care of the cats in our care and continue preparing the rest of the adoptable cats for adoption. If we do obtain additional grants or other funding over the next few weeks and months, we will reevaluate and continue full operations earlier if we can.Our mission is to save as many abandoned cats/kittens as possible and prepare them for adoption to a safe and loving home. Unfortunately, the tasks to complete this mission can be expensive and require a lot of work. We have worked really hard and dedicated a lot of our personal resources to support the rescue through our first year, but we need help to continue. We want to thank everyone who has helped us so far, we really appreciate your support and the kind words of encouragement you have provided us. We really do appreciate those who have come around us to help support our cause and passion! We specifically want to thank Judith Morrison, Holly L Roland, Danielle Sipes, Charles Leone, Lana Sharp, Kiki Cuddly and All Creatures Animal Hospital. They have been critical supporters in our journey and we couldn't have made it this far without them. We've made it through Hurricane Milton with minimal damage. While some of the cats were scared of the noises, everyone made it ok through the night. We spent the day cleaning up storm debris and completing repairs. We also removed all the boards, cleaned and re-opened our second outside shelter. We have applied for several grants and haCUDDLYUDDLY campaign open. We also received a request from The Association for Animal Welfare Advancement to take in lost and abandoned animals from the Hurricane but we are unable to respond until we hear back on the grants and/or receive other funding.Thank you to those who have donated already, we really appreciate your help! We have been blessed to not be impacted greatly by the storm. We want to help respond to the storm but we also have to be able to care for the animals already in our care.

We have completed preperations. We are boarded up and as ready as possible. We have launched a Cuddly campaign to raise funds for the storm and response. We are currently completely out of funding due to several recent ER and vet visits. We have already received calls and messages for assistance that we are unable to fulfill. We are also applying for additional grants in hopes that we can receive funding so we can do more.

Hurricane Milton will likely impact our area putting our rescue at risk. We are working to prepare and we are raising funds to help us move forward after the storm. If you are able, please consider donating, even $5 or $10 can really help. At the current moment, with our low funding, we will be limited in our ability to respond to the needs of the lost and abandoned cats after the storm. The more funding we can get, the more we can do to help animals and their owners. Depending on where the storm makes landfall, we will also be applying for special grants to help provide additional funding to help. Please everyone stay safe and be prepared. We are looking for additional foster homes. If you are in a good position after the storm and have the ability to provide temporary food and shelter for some cats or kittens, please message us or fill out the volunteer application at the link below.Donate Here: checkout.shelterluv.com/donate/KRCDonation Links: kittyrescuecorp.org/donate/Chewy: www.chewy.com/g/kitty-rescue-corp_b120817710Amazon: www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/16BA718SXFUQT?ref_=wl_shareZeffy: www.zeffy.com/en-US/donation-form/6015f09f-9438-45a9-b45f-35928c946086Venmo: www.venmo.com/u/KittyRescueCorp @KittyRescueCorpPayPal: www.paypal.com/donate/?hosted_button_id=358BSEXHU3VCJZelle: contact@kittyrescuecorp.org or 7273894421Volunteer: kittyrescuecorp.org/volunteer/Adoptable Cats: kittyrescuecorp.org/adoptable/Adopt-a-Pet: www.adoptapet.com/shelter210684-pets.html#rescueanimals #rescuecatsrule #nonprofitorganization #nonprofitfundraising #weneedyourhelp #KittyRescue #kittyrescuecorp #catsinneed #newportricheyfl #newportrichey #pascocounty #pascocountyfl #kittenrescuelife #kittenrescue #animalrescuers #animalrescue #catrescue #catrescuers #portricheyfl #portrichey #hudsonflorida #tampabay #tampapets #hurricane #hurricanemilton #donatenow #hurricanerelief
Fred is an outdoor female calico adult cat that is looking for a loving and safe home. She was posted on our rehoming page by one of the residents in the neighborhood she lives in. They are trying to find her a loving home.Description: She lives in a small area in the grass and foliage in front of three apartment patios. My neighbor has been feeding her and giving her flee treatments for six years, but health conditions are keeping from doing it now. I have been feeding her, but I’ve now had several warnings from the manager. I cannot afford to pay a steep fine. She is friendly and loves people and petting, and sometimes she tries to sneak inside the apartment. Please have mercy on this adorable girl. I really think she’ll make a sweet pet. I wish I could adopt her, but I already have the limit of two allowed.

Since Boo’s loss, his best pal Kovu has been standing at the door everyday waiting for his brother to come back.💔 I know buddy, it’s been very hard on us all here at KRC! 💔😭 #deathsucks
UPDATE: All these kittens have found placement.Pasco County Animal Services is looking for foster homes for 2 sets of bottle-fed babies. We unfortunately can’t take them in at the moment. If anyone is willing and able, please reach PCAS at rescueprogram@pascocoutyfl.net or (813) 929-1212. The deadline for this request is 5:30pm today as PCAS doesn’t have overnight staff to care for the kittens. Due to their age, they must be bottle fed every 2-3 hours, including overnight. So please be sure you are able to commit to that. 🎃 Halloween Town Crew is the litter of 3. Marnie, Sophie, and Dylan are around 2 weeks olds and perfect angels. They eat well, sleep long hours, and are scrumptious little nuggets. 😊 🐯 Zoo Crew is a litter of 5. We believe they are between 1-2 weeks of age now. They were also eating great, sleeping well, and keep each other company. 😊
We are very sad to announce that Boo has passed away. Boo's condition declined and his episodes became more often and longer. We had no choice but to take him to the ER. He was struggling to breathe and his oxygen levels were dropping too low. Fluid was beginning to build up in his lungs and around his heart. We made the very hard decision to humanely euthanize Boo so that he would not continue to suffer.Boo was one of the most amazing kitties we have ever met. He had so much personality, was very affectionate, and always looked out and cared for his other rescue siblings. He was also one of the smartest kitties we've ever had. We really wish we would have had more than 10 months with him. It is going to be very difficult not having him around, and the entire rescue is going to feel it for sure. He was a very unique, one-of-a-kind, kitty that will be greatly missed and thought about often. The journey of starting a rescue has been a difficult one. Boo was the very first official rescue we took in, and we fell in love with him so much that we kept him around as a long-term resident. He was actually one of the reasons we started the rescue. He was such a sweet cat and would even help us keep an eye on the many kittens we've had, he would never let them get into trouble and would always let us know if they were trying to get away.Rescue work is not easy and it comes with a lot of ups and downs. Not only is it a very expensive and hard work to take care of the animals, it is these types of situations that make it so much harder. We want to thank everyone that has helped us through this journey so far and everyone who continues to support and help us. We could not do this work without the support of the community.
Boo visited the vet and they performed a variety of diagnostic tests, including x-rays and blood work. The doctor determined that Boo has an enlarged heart and a heart murmur. Boo needs to have an echocardiogram of his heart and thoracic radiographs. These diagnostic tests will determine his prognosis and which treatment path is possible. An estimated quote for this procedure is around $800.Boo is currently home and on light duty. He has to rest to keep his pulse low and is susceptible to passing out if he gets too worked up. We are continuing to raise funds to get these diagnostic tests done so we know how to proceed with his treatment. We want to thank everyone who has helped us so far. Any amount is appreciated and will help us get closer to our goal.#rescueanimals #rescuecatsrule #nonprofitorganization #nonprofitfundraising #weneedyourhelp #KittyRescue #kittyrescuecorp #catsinneed #newportricheyfl #newportrichey #pascocounty #pascocountyfl #kittenrescuelife #kittenrescue #animalrescuers #animalrescue #catrescue #catrescuers #portricheyfl #portrichey #hudsonflorida #tampabay #tampapets

Boo's condition has declined, he is again lethargic, looks uncomfortable and has labored breathing. We are taking him to the vet now to get checked further to determine what he needs. We are still fundraising to cover his previous expenses and so that we have the money to provide further care. Boo is only 10 months old and is fitting in nicely at our rescue. He was found abandoned in the community and was taken to Pasco County Animal Services. We brought him into our rescue and fell in love with him, so he has stayed as a long-term resident. We really want to restore his health and give him more time on this earth, surrounded by people who love him. Please consider donating to help us reach our goal! Happy Adoption Day to this beautiful duo!!! 🥳 Our Beautiful Mama Missy here is a stunning snowshoe Siamese with the most gorgeous ocean blue eyes who started life on the wrong tracks. She was living on the streets pregnant, when a few neighborhood heros came to her rescue and brought her here so that she can deliver her babies in a safe environment. Well, those babies grew up and have gone on home to their fur-ever homes and now it’s time for this mama to do just that…find her hooman. It was love at first sight for these two, I just know these two are meant to be in each others lives. We want to wish them both MANY happy & healthy years together. 🐾🤍
