Happy Thanksgiving from Kitty Rescue Corp!!!We are nearing the end of our first year of operations. It has been a difficult year but we have had amazing growth. We took in 68 cats this year and completed 57 adoptions. Our focus for the rest of this year will be adopting out the adoptable cats in our rescue and preparing the rest of the cats for adoption. We are also planning on having another adoption event at our local Petco next month, so look out for details about that event. Now that we have almost completed our first year of operations, we will now be eligible for more grants and we will be able to join more rescue organizations that can help us move forward. We are also close to starting a non-profit partnership with Merck so we can purchase Bravecto products at a much lower price, which will help us protect our rescues against fleas and diseases. We are very thankful for all of the people that have helped us start this journey!!! We could not have done this without the community's help. Along with that, we are very thankful for the critical partnerships we have created with our local All Creatures Animal Hospitalpital) and Pasco County Animal Servicesvices. We hope everyone enjoys their Thanksgiving and the upcoming holiday season. Thank you again to everyone!!!! ... See MoreSee Less

Hurricane Milton will likely impact our area putting our rescue at risk. We are working to prepare and we are raising funds to help us move forward after the storm. If you are able, please consider donating, even $5 or $10 can really help. At the current moment, with our low funding, we will be limited in our ability to respond to the needs of the lost and abandoned cats after the storm. The more funding we can get, the more we can do to help animals and their owners. Depending on where the storm makes landfall, we will also be applying for special grants to help provide additional funding to help. Please everyone stay safe and be prepared. We are looking for additional foster homes. If you are in a good position after the storm and have the ability to provide temporary food and shelter for some cats or kittens, please message us or fill out the volunteer application at the link below.Donate Here: checkout.shelterluv.com/donate/KRCDonation Links: kittyrescuecorp.org/donate/Chewy: www.chewy.com/g/kitty-rescue-corp_b120817710Amazon: www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/16BA718SXFUQT?ref_=wl_shareZeffy: www.zeffy.com/en-US/donation-form/6015f09f-9438-45a9-b45f-35928c946086Venmo: www.venmo.com/u/KittyRescueCorp @KittyRescueCorpPayPal: www.paypal.com/donate/?hosted_button_id=358BSEXHU3VCJZelle: contact@kittyrescuecorp.org or 7273894421Volunteer: kittyrescuecorp.org/volunteer/Adoptable Cats: kittyrescuecorp.org/adoptable/Adopt-a-Pet: www.adoptapet.com/shelter210684-pets.html#rescueanimals #rescuecatsrule #nonprofitorganization #nonprofitfundraising #weneedyourhelp #KittyRescue #kittyrescuecorp #catsinneed #newportricheyfl #newportrichey #pascocounty #pascocountyfl #kittenrescuelife #kittenrescue #animalrescuers #AnimalRescue #catrescue #catrescuers #portricheyfl #PortRichey #hudsonflorida #tampabay #tampapets #hurricane #HurricaneMilton #DonateNow #hurricanerelief ... UPDATE: All these kittens have found placement.Pasco County Animal Services is looking for foster homes for 2 sets of bottle-fed babies. We unfortunately canโ€™t take them in at the moment. If anyone is willing and able, please reach PCAS at rescueprogram@pascocoutyfl.net or (813) 929-1212. The deadline for this request is 5:30pm today as PCAS doesnโ€™t have overnight staff to care for the kittens. Due to their age, they must be bottle fed every 2-3 hours, including overnight. So please be sure you are able to commit to that. ๐ŸŽƒ Halloween Town Crew is the litter of 3. Marnie, Sophie, and Dylan are around 2 weeks olds and perfect angels. They eat well, sleep long hours, and are scrumptious little nuggets. ๐Ÿ˜Š ๐Ÿฏ Zoo Crew is a litter of 5. We believe they are between 1-2 weeks of age now. They were also eating great, sleeping well, and keep each other company. ๐Ÿ˜Š ... See MoreSee Less

We are very sad to announce that Boo has passed away. Boo's condition declined and his episodes became more often and longer. We had no choice but to take him to the ER. He was struggling to breathe and his oxygen levels were dropping too low. Fluid was beginning to build up in his lungs and around his heart. We made the very hard decision to humanely euthanize Boo so that he would not continue to suffer.Boo was one of the most amazing kitties we have ever met. He had so much personality, was very affectionate, and always looked out and cared for his other rescue siblings. He was also one of the smartest kitties we've ever had. We really wish we would have had more than 10 months with him. It is going to be very difficult not having him around, and the entire rescue is going to feel it for sure. He was a very unique, one-of-a-kind, kitty that will be greatly missed and thought about often. The journey of starting a rescue has been a difficult one. Boo was the very first official rescue we took in, and we fell in love with him so much that we kept him around as a long-term resident. He was actually one of the reasons we started the rescue. He was such a sweet cat and would even help us keep an eye on the many kittens we've had, he would never let them get into trouble and would always let us know if they were trying to get away.Rescue work is not easy and it comes with a lot of ups and downs. Not only is it a very expensive and hard work to take care of the animals, it is these types of situations that make it so much harder. We want to thank everyone that has helped us through this journey so far and everyone who continues to support and help us. We could not do this work without the support of the community. ...
